Every Sunday was a homemade spaghetti dinner at grandma-great's house when I was growing up. We looked forward to this time together every Sunday. Us kids got to run around and play while the grownups would socialize and/or watch the Browns play (the good Browns). My mom and grandma would try to help grandma-great cook, but she wouldn't allow anyone to help and was always shooing people out the kitchen! Unfortunately, no one was able to get the full recipe from grandma-great. My mom has been trying to recreate the sauce and it gets better and closer each time she makes it! Now that she is living up here again, she decided she would like to reinstate Sunday spaghetti dinners on the last Sunday of every month. I love this idea! It's a great chance for us to spend time together as a family!! Life gets so busy sometimes that we forget to stop and cherish the people we love most! This past Sunday was the first dinner and everything was delicious! The girls loved spending time with their nana and papa and their grandma and grandpa great. After dinner, mostly everyone sat around the table and played Sammie's favorite card game golf. As George and I sat in the living room, relaxing, it was nice to hear the laughter of family! Erin and Chouchou decided to relax by trying out each other's beds! Reminds when Sammie used to crawl into Pebble's cage and lay down!
