HOF Weekend

We started our HOF celebration with a trip to the ribs burn off Friday night. The girls really enjoyed the food, but who doesn't love good BBQ!! Saturday morning we headed downtown for the grand parade. Erin was a little scared at first, but calmed down eventually, sort of. She has been very sensitive to loud and sudden sounds lately.

The "pride" of East Canton marching band. Yes the whole band is in the picture! George and I noticed how much smaller the marching bands are compared to when we marched. It's so sad how the arts are one of the first thing cut when funding starts to disappear!
Saturday night we headed to St. George's on Cherry for a cookout and to watch the fireworks. Our friends Phil and Anica are very active at this church and help plan the event. This is the second year they have invited us. The girls had a lot of fun! We were scared of putting the jumping thing, but Phil's dad cleared it out completely a couple of times so Erin could jump safely. He had so much fun playing with the girls and is definitely read for his first granddaughter! (Anica is due the 14th and is counting down the hours! I remember those days!!) Grandpa, Grandma, Jo, and Art joined us as well and really had a great time. Good food and a pretty good view of the fireworks!

Erin way past bed time! You can see in her eyes how tired she was! She almost fell asleep in her stroller, but fought to stay up for the fireworks. The red mark on her cheek is from running into a table. It went away by the next morning thank goodness! She liked the light of the fireworks, but not the sound!
