We celebrated most of the 4th of July at my dad's house. He had a cookout for lunch and dinner. The girls went swimming even though the pool was a little chilly thanks to low temperatures at night and had a lot of fun! We went through the woods picking wild black raspberries. Erin loved them and was eating them faster than we could pick! George had a blast riding the 4-wheeler. He took me for a ride around the property, and took the girls for a ride around the yard. Despite the noise, Erin loved the 4-wheeler and grinned ear to ear while she was on it! After dinner we stopped by Walmart to pick up some dirt for our planter boxes and noticed that everyone in line had 2 things, beer and fireworks. How else would you celebrate the 4th? Once we were home, we headed outside with our beer and fireworks. It took Erin a little while to warm up to the pop-its and the confetti poppers, but she loved them in the end. Sammie has always loved playing with the pop-its and sparklers. After exhausting our small arsenal, the girls headed to bed and George and I sat outside watching the firework displays provided by our neighbors!
