We went to the balloon fest Saturday night. I learned how to do a back wrap with Erin to make things a little easier. Plus the wrap makes for a perfect impromptu picnic blanket! The girls were excited to see one balloon fill up. Unfortunately, due to the weather, the balloon was taken right back down and the the flight was cancelled. The girls were disappointed and we didn't want to wait 2 1/2 hours to see the fireworks so we headed home. In lieu of actually going to the burn-off this year, we went straight to the source and had dinner at the Old Carolina restaurant in BV. Delicious and a much better atmosphere than the fairgrounds! We're hoping that the burn-off returns to downtown next year now that downtown had been so beautifully renovated!
